In the wild, Tench are found in still or slow flowing water, which have a rich plant life. They naturally have a dark olive-green skin and it is only relatively recently that the stunning Golden colour has become readily available.

Tench will need to be moved to a pond once it out grows a home aquarium as Tench will grow to over 35cm. Tench are also bottom dwelling fish and will be rarely seen feeding from the surface.
