Water is pumped through the integrated CLEAR UV clarifier,
pre filter pad to trap coarse debris,
bio balls, and
biological filter cartridges to remove finer particles, ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate.
Water then flows back into the pond free of algae and dirt particles.
The dirt level indicators gauge how polluted the filter is and will give you idea as to how long it will be before filter maintenance is required.
All components are perfectly coordinated with each other and are extremely low maintenance.
As with all filters, after setting up, and before adding fish, it is recommended that you add some filter starter nitrifying bacteria to speed up the maturation process.
